How long should a shower last?
When is the right time to have a baby shower?
If you listen to tradition, any shower for the new baby should be put on by a close friend of the momtobe. Today, this tradition has been altered to where anyone associated with the new mom can be the actual host. This could include a coworker or distant relative. You can take it a step further and have 23 people hosting it. With the workload involved in planning a big shower, this approach works very well.
Again, if you listen to tradition, it says that a shower should be held from one month to two weeks before the baby is due, but this is not practiced today as often. Now, you see showers happen after the new baby is born. So there is no set rule to this anymore.
In most cases it is at least 2 hours long and sometimes up to 34 hours. As long as everyone is having fun, pregnant mother included, there doesn't have to be a set in concrete time limit.
