The helmet that I am using now is the new Schutt Ion 4D. This helmet is amazing. It is the most comfortable helmet that I have ever put on my head. The inside is this new technology that is called TPU cushioning, which is like a gel that surrounds your head. The face mask is a new technology too, Schut says 85% of all tackles are made head on so the decided to make their face mask push into your helmet. This can absorb up to 15% of the impact. The liner on this helmet is very aired out, it feels like there is a fan inside of it.
Last year I suffered 2 concussions because of my crappy helmet. The horrible helmet that I used was a Riddell Revolution. This helmet plain ou just sucked. The inside was a oven, it go so hot in there I had to cool it off with water on the sidelines. The helmet did not do its job very well either, every time I made a hit it would ring my bell. The only good part of the helmet was that it was free.
