锘?99 PSP bundle and link with Assassin Creed 2
The game, which once again stars Assassin's Creed protagonist Altair Ibn LaAhad, will be bundled with a PSP3000, a 2gigabyte memory stick duo, and a yetunannounced UMD movie. The package will hit retail outlets at the MSRP of $199.
It was also announced by Ubisoft producer Frederic Lefrancois that Assassin's Creed: Bloodlines will be compatible with the Playstation 3 version of Assassin's Creed 2. This could draw more owners of both consoles to the Playstation 3 version, an effective tool to boost Sony's currently limited Playstation 3 userbase.
Assassin's Creed: Bloodlines will take place following the events of the first Assassin's Creed games. Bloodlines will feature eight new mission types, alleviating the widespread complaints about the repetitiveness of the original game. The game is also said to expand the story via exploration of the link between Desmond Miles, Altair Ibn LaAhad and Ezio Auditore de Firenze.
"As players unlock health and hidden blade upgrades in Assassin's Creed 2 PS3, the same upgrades will be unlocked in Assassin's Creed: Bloodlines," says Lefrancois. "On the PS3 you will be able to access any Templar Coins and special weapons you've collected on the PSP."
Sony announced this week that the portable followup to Assassin's Creed, Assassin's Creed: Bloodlines, will be offered in one of the new Playstation Portable packages.
