i spoke to a couple of my friends and one of them suggested me a motherboard (i guess intel 945) that supports a p4 as well as provides provisions of ddr2 ram slots and pcie slots. that means, i can add the nvidia 8600. my major concern is the casing, if it will incorporate the mobo. or else, i am thinking of getting another cabinet, that can take the replaced components.

and about the os repair thing, will it be fine, if i reinstall windows?? please tell me, if it is practically feasible, because i am finding this option cheaper and provides me opportunity for some future upgradation. please tell me, if there will be other issues with changing the mobo and cabinet.
