Nvidia claims users can expect increased performance in Civilization V (when running in SLI mode), Fallout 3, Final Fantasy XIV, and Formula 1 Racing (when running in DirectX 11 mode). The release highlights page doesn't quote any numbers, though, so users will be left to find out the exact extent of the improvements on their own.
Hot on the heels of AMD's new Catalyst 10.10 release, Nvidia has served up a fresh platter of graphics drivers for its GeForce and Ion graphics processors. The new drivers, available as always from Nvidia's download page in both desktop and notebook flavors, purportedly boost performance in several titles and add new game profiles for both SLI and 3D Vision.
Folks with SLI setups should now get to enjoy Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II, and Fallout: New Vegas in multiGPU mode. Meanwhile, 3D Vision profiles have been added for Call of Duty: Black Ops and Tom Clancy's HawX 2. As icing on the cake, Nvidia has thrown in a couple of compatibility improvements. Fallout: New Vegas now works better with antialiasing switched on, the firm says, and "alttab compatibility" has improved in "several PC games."
