| David Beckham's move to Tottenham could backfire
Tottenham coach Les Ferdinand fears Harry Redknapp's push to sign David Beckham could lead to a dressing room split.
Spurs currently occupy fourth <a href=http://www.fingerlakestrivia.com/handbags.html>www.fingerlakestrivia.com/handbags.html</a> spot and entertain league leaders Manchester United on Sunday, a win would silence doubters over their title credentials.
Redknapp hoped that the arrival of the 35yearold from LA galaxy will inspire his players to push on for the league title, but Ferdinand fears it could cause <a href=http://www.centurionsmc.org/time.html>www.centurionsmc.org/time.html</a> a split.
All smiles: Beckham shares a joke with his new training partners <a href=http://www.leffs.com/best.html>www.leffs.com/best.html</a> at Tottenham
He said: 'There is going to be a mixed reaction from the players. Some of them will look and say, "What is this guy actually going to bring to us?" I wouldn say it a PR stunt. Harry does genuinely believe David can bring something extra to the club.
Singled out: Ferdinand fears Beckham's presence may cause <a href=http://www.osuwrfc.com/only.html>www.osuwrfc.com/only.html</a> unrest
'And not just on the park, because the guy is such a professional, a real example to others. It will be interesting to see how he trains and conducts himself.
'There may be some unsure what a 35yearold is going to give the team, but his professionalism is not in question.'
However, Ferdinand may have nothing to worry about as the deal with the Galaxy is stumbling over the MLS side's insistence on Beckham returning to the US February 10 for the start of the club preseason campaign.
