| Endless summer
Fall is here. Termination dust blankets nearby peaks. Ladies are breaking out the UGGs. But local headbangers are still sporting tanktops. What gives? Hard rock fans are about to celebrate summer eternal with the release of "AK Soul's Summer Meltdown CD. Vol. 1."
This live CD captures the highlights of one of the Anchorage's rockingest summer days: Summer Meltdown 2005. The allday rock festival, held July 23 in the parking lot at the Cellular One Sports Center, featured 10 bands (though <a href=http://www.vtbuilder.com>michael kors outlet store</a> headliner and signed act 36 Crazy Fists couldn't be included on the CD due to legal reasons). The day was epic, the rock was loud and the weather was well, it didn't rain.
"It sounds really good. We even got the crowd noise in there," said Aurentz from a cell phone while vacationing in San Diego. "I think it will also feed the excitement so we can do (the Summer Meltdown) again."
