Looks to me like it's just a 3D remake of Star Fox 64. So not really "new".
Super Mario 3D: My only complaint was that they went with the full Tanooki Suit as opposed to Racoon Mario, outside of that I'm looking forward to this game.

And yeah, the "Wii U" is definitively the worst console name I've ever heard, and I didn't think that was possible. It looks like Sony won this E3 pretty easily, and that's disappointing to me considering that Nintendo usually puts on a good show.
New Zelda, check! New Starfox, check! New Mario, triple check! New Smash Bros. maaaaaaaaybeee!!!!
As far as the rest, I'm underwhelmed. It looks like they might finally have the graphics on par with the PS3 and 360, but so far only ports announced. The new controller is interesting, but I can't see that being under $100 each. Even that might be optimistic. Having multiple players each using one will be worse than trying to play a 4person game of Crystal Chronicles on the Gamecube. It's possible that multiplayer will be limited to one person with the WiiU controller (due to bandwidth of streaming video to it) plus WiiMotes.
Mario Kart with gliders and underwater addons! I approve!
Wow, that Nintendo Press Conference was terrible. It wasn't "Nintendo 2008" bad, but it was pretty terrible, especially considering how much Nintendo had to gain from it. They didn't show a SINGLE Wii game or announce any outside of Skyward Sword, there was little of interest in the 3DS section, the Zelda 25th Anniversary section was too long and rather pointless, and the Wii U was just a total FAIL. That controller is an abomination and needs to be redesigned, they didn't show a SINGLE Nintendo 1st party title for it, and the 3rd party titles they showed I can already play on the HD consoles I already own, and I'll be able to play them up to a year before Nintendo gets them.
It seems like Nintendo found a compromise between the HD demand, Ipad, and gimmicky gaming of today's player. I really don't think the concept was the mega game changing epic thing people theorized it was going to be BUT it was Nintendo being Nintendo. Which means it was them finding new and innovative ways to enhance the gaming experience. In the end I found Nintendo's advances way more interesting with the stuff Sony and Microsoft came up with. Still, I do feel that Nintendo came off very restrained this year. For all the hype they had last year Nintendo seemed far more gun shy. I do look forward to all the new stuff but let's see how the hardcore gamers deal!
As far as handhelds, if I do end up getting one of the new ones it looks like it will be the Vita. I can't use 3D much without getting headaches, and most of the big 3DS games seem to be remakes that just tack on 3D. The fact that they made such a big deal out of a PokeDex doesn't have me really excited.
