A physically imposing and powerful presence on the offensive line, Reiff left Iowa after his junior season and is projected as a potential cornerstone left tackle. That promise at a premium position is one of the reasons he's expected to be selected early in the first round. Reiff is an excellent run blocker and solid pass blocker but will need to improve his footwork at the next level. Scouts also question his lack of bulk. Despite those potential drawbacks, Reiff grades high in all other aspects. His exceptional agility and hands should help him handle powerful defensive ends and boasts a high level of intensity. He is athletic with good speed and plays through the whistle. Durability isn't an issue as he played every game during his college career and was the linchpin of Iowa's line. He impressed scouts at the combine, grading out among the best at his position and posting an overall 86.0 grade. He ran a 5.23 40yard dash, had 23 reps in the bench press and recorded a 26 1/5inch vertical jump. He had an 8foot2 broad jump to go with his 7.87second effort in the threecone drill. One of the few blemishes on Reiff's record stems from trouble with the law before his freshman season, when he pled guilty to a misdemeanor of public intoxication.
