| Carlow tax defaulters appear on Revenue Commissioners
Internet solution services, Blacknight Internet Solutions Ltd, of Barrowside Business Park, Graiguecullen appeared on the list owing a total of 721,291.08 arising from taxes of <a href=http://www.osuwrfc.com/only.html>www.osuwrfc.com/only.html</a> 556,914 and interest and penalties of 164,377.08. The money arose from the underdeclaration of VAT. Chief Technical Officer with Blacknight, Paul Kelly, said the company has been working with the Revenue Commissioners since they became aware of the problem a number of years ago. He said a software issue arose with VAT accounting which was spotted in late 2008. Much of the outstanding monies have already been repaid.
Farmers Brendan, Michael, Paul and Seamus Osbourne of Liscolman, Tullow and Oliver Osbourne of Farmerstown, Athy and Patrick Osbourne of Fontstown, Athy each appeared on the list arising from the underdeclaration of income tax. The amount listed for each was 303,698.35 arising from tax of 111,950.71 and interest and penalties of 191,747.64.

Farmer William Cross of Kilcarney, Hacketstown also appeared on the list owing 48,226 in tax and 104,215 in interest and penalties. The case arose from the underdeclaration of income tax.
