| Braves <a href=http://www.centurionsmc.org/won.html>wholesale jerseys</a> add new jerseys for home
Just not the feel.
The Atlanta Braves unveiled a new alternate home uniform Monday that is based on the attire worn when the team moved from Milwaukee in 1966, with Aaron as its biggest star.
"It's a beautiful uniform," he said during a ceremony at Turner Field. "And it's not wool. Those first uniforms were wool."
The creamcolored uniforms feature the customary Braves script across the <a href=http://funservicesohio.com/site.html>cheap nfl jerseys</a> front but without the tomahawk that is below the nickname on the regular home white jerseys. There is a patch on the arms with two crisscrossing tomahawks and the year "1876" when the franchise was founded in Boston.
"I love it," said third baseman Chipper Jones, the team's longestserving active player. "You have to keep things fresh. Everyone gets <a href=http://www.centurionsmc.org/mvp.html>www.centurionsmc.org/mvp.html</a> excited when they break out something new."
The uniforms will be worn during weekend games at Turner Field. The alternate red jersey that had been worn on Sundays since 2005 now will be used for Friday night games in Atlanta. The regular home whites will be reserved for games Monday through Thursday.
"This harkens back to the days when my man here was terrorizing the big leagues," Jones said, pointing at a smiling Aaron. "It's a classic look."
The biggest improvement is the material, a coolbased blend that is especially vital to <a href=http://angeloaktree.com/we.html>wholesale jerseys</a> a team that plays in the oftenbrutal Georgia heat. The slugger was suspended for 100 games last year, but the ban was trimmed to 50 because he sat out nearly all of last season. The suspension would start with the first game he is eligible to play after signing.
"We've seen Manny work out. We're still considering the composition of this club and some of the challenges of integrating a player like Manny into our ball club and market," Duquette said.
Boston: Righthander Alfredo Aceves agreed to a $1.2 million, oneyear contract. The agreement was $75,000 below the midpoint between the $1.6 million he had asked for in arbitration and the $950,000 he had been offered. Aceves can earn $100,000 in bonuses.
Chicago Cubs: The club claimed infielder Adrian Cardenas off waivers from Oakland and designated infielder Blake DeWitt for assignment. Cardenas, 24, primarily is a second baseman.
Colorado: The Rockies acquired righthander Jeremy Guthrie from Baltimore to bolster their young rotation with lefthander Jorge De La Rosa still mending after elbow surgery. In exchange, Colorado sent reliever Matt Lindstrom and righthander Jason Hammel to the Orioles.
Guthrie, the Orioles' openingday starter three of the past four seasons, he lost an ALhigh 17 games last season and finished with a 4.33 ERA. He agreed to a oneyear, $8.2 million contract.
Miami: Pitcher Anibal Sanchez, 89 with a 3.67 ERA in 32 starts last year, became the first player to win in salary arbitration this year when a threeperson panel awarded him $8 million rather than the team's offer of $6.9 million. .
St. Louis: Infielder Alex Cora agreed to a minor league contract and would get an $800,000 deal if added to the 40man roster. He played all four infield positions last season for Washington.
Seattle: The Mariners agreed to a $750,000, oneyear contract with Shawn Camp and a $500,000, oneyear deal with HongChih Kuo in an attempt to add bullpen depth. Both deals contain performance bonuses.
Washington: The Nationals agreed to a minor league contract with outfielder Rick Ankiel, who would have a $1.25 million, oneyear contract and could make $1.5 million in performance bonuses if added to the 40man roster.
