Helloooooo It's been another busy old week. New role at work is very busy, but still boring old admin. I now work for a curriculum centre that deals with A levels, GCSE's and such, so the majority of our students are under 18. We held taster days this week and I was tied up nearly all day on Wednesday with the one for the A level programme. The upside was I was away from my desk for most of the day and thereby avoided the phones which were ringing off the hook all week with dopey potential students saying things like "I forgot to come to the taster day, what happens now?" and "Is it too late to apply?" The computer exam was the Website Creation. Apparently, I passed. Tuesday evening I went with two girls from work to watch a performance of Romeo and Juliet. It took place in Christchurch Park with the Mansion as it's back-drop, so that was all rather lovely. They played the Montegue's and the Capulets as football teams and wore different team colours depending on which parts they were playing. There were only 5 players, so three of them had to play more than one role. The bloke who played Signor Montegue also played a servant, a priest, Tibult AND the nurse. He played the nurse as a cross between a Monty Python type woman and Dot Cotton! He was hilarious! They did try and inject quite a bit of humour into the play, which frankly it needs because its a pretty grim story really. Anyway, we took a picnic and watched open air Shakespeare and had an all round splendid time. It seems that not only did I have the jetlag opposite to you, I had the flight experiences the other way around too - we had the turbulance on the way out.
