| what is considered a ballgown or a ballroom dance gown. how is it different from other formal dresses like a prom or bridesmaid dress. a ballgown is usually a dress which has a big volume in the skirt. so its bigger than other dresses and had more volume overall. its version nowadays is strapless; but the concept of the classic version is the same. it has a corset-like upperbody, with a voluminous skirt; but this classic versions are usually very covered. koshka-the-catcwballgowncball26.jpgthink old movies where they held dancesand a ballroom dance gown is a dress they use in dance contest. its skirt is very wide if you spin around and isnt that voluminous as a ballgown. to my opinion these ballroom dresses are very tacky; it usually has a lot of glitterrhinestones, bright colours and weird places on you back;dancaddressballroom2promdresses or bridesmaid dresses are usually based an a dress and dont have (to my opinion) a basic shape, so a promdress could be based on a ballroom model of a bridesmaiddress could be based on a classes ballgown. or the other way around.. usually something that covers the legs.. you have a bit more to experiment with rather than a <a href=http://www.celebritydressessale.co.uk/>celebrity dresseses</a>.. in terms of colour and stlye on the top half of the dress. but still, a gown is usually something that covers the legs down to the floor.. well a ball gown typically goes down to the ankles and has a tight bodice. a ballroom dance gown can be any style of dress along with formal dresses and bridesmaid dresses.. they r the same thing u dingaling. what is considered a ballgown or ballroom dance gown is a long formal dress.with matching assesories,hand bag,and shoes to match preferrably with heels.hope you have a great time.where these are found would be at a wedding gown store sometimes they have industry leading deals.good luck and have fun!. long nice dress that covers your legs and is long and is goin to suprise anyone and everyone is gonna dream of it. well i thought that a ballgown is the type of dress that cinderella would wear. a ballroom dress however could be ones that you see flamenco or salsa dancers wearing, which could really be anything fancy (like what they wear on strictly dance fever) formal and prom dresses could be any type of dress, like cocktail or the really dressy kind like bridesmaid dresses.. ask the sales ladies. thats what they are being paid for. why worry your pretty little head off.
