| I tend to avoid the mall, mostly because I am annoyed by the slowmoving crowds. It bugs me to no end when I get stuck behind meandering throngs of people walking four abreast, suddenly stopping in front of stores to admire the display or to debate where to go next. I guess it's my particular pet peeve.

Details: On June 9, 2012 at approximately 1:09 pm Corporal J. Evans with Precinct Four Constable Ron Hickman's Office responded to a theft call in the 1400 block of Newmark Drive. Upon arrival, the complainant stated that while working in a lawn, an unknown male exited a green Pontiac and stole his weed eater from the location. He and a witness saw the incident on described the suspect vehicle and license plate number. Deputy M. Hoffman was responded to the scene and observed the suspect vehicle turning onto Veterans Memorial from Spears Road. The suspect vehicle was stopped and occupied by four male suspects. The suspects were detained and a weed eater was found in the vehicles. The weed eater was identified by the complainant and the vehicle and suspect who exited the vehicle were also identified. All four suspects were arrested and charged with Theft and transported to the Harris County Jail where they were later released under a $500 bond on each suspect. The suspects were identified as:

There are two timely reasons to watch this repeat of the Family Ties pilot tonight. One is to enjoy the starmaking turn from Michael J. Fox, who's back in a new NBC sitcom this fall. The other is to celebrate the work of the show's creator, Gary David Goldberg, who passed away last week, and who also gave us Spin City and the insufficiently appreciated Brooklyn Bridge. Perhaps someone will bring that back now, as well.
